The Summer Village of Silver Sands employs a full-time Public Works Manager year-round and 2 additional part-time employees during the Summer months. If you would like to contact the Public Works department, please call 780-797-2207 and leave a message.

Due to COVID-19, interviews will be conducted in January of 2021. Those who are selected for an interview will be contacted by the Summer Village administration office.
Public Works Updates
-Summer Village Compost Site - Now Open!
The Summer Village Compost site is located at the Public Works Quonset site. Hours of operation are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The site currently accepts leaves, grass clippings and lake weeds.
-Do you need some compost material or mulch?
The Summer Village has some!

-Sand/Chip Bins for Icy Walkways
Sand bins are available for residents to use for icy walkways during the winter months. These are bright yellow bins and are located throughout the Summer Village at the following locations:
-west side in front of 4 Hazel Avenue
-west side in front of 25 Willow Avenue
-east side in front of 2 Conifer Crescent
-east side of the top of the hill on Silver Sands Drive off of TWP 540
-east side in front of 17 Ash Avenue
There are also sand and gravel chips at the rear of the Quonset. Please bring your own pail to transport and only take what you require.
